Do you ever feel like you feel too much?
Every emotion, I feel like I experience it with so much more intensity than "normal" people. Happiness, sadness, anger, anxiety, love...I feel them all incredibly deeply. I'm very sensitive and very intense

It can be wonderful sometimes, but it bites me in the ass most of the time.

Is anyone else like this? I wonder if it's my bipolar, anxiety disorder, NLD, or whatever that causes it, or perhaps it's just the way I am, and my "disorders" are just a manifestation of that. Or something like that.

Thoughts?

1. I'm right there with you...
I tend to build situations up in my mind to such a point that I'm almost paralyzed with anxiety. It's a curse.

3. I think this is both a blessing and curse of sensitive, intelligent, and especially creative people.
It's not as bad as when I was young. And that's common enough to have a song about it: "When I was young it was more important; pain more painful, laughter much louder, yeah....when I was young". Bob Dylan used to comment on this too. I can't remember the exact quote, but it was along the lines of "I see things other people don't see. I feel things other people don't feel..." And yes, it bites us in the ass sometimes. I have read a lot of what you've written on DU and seen the videos you posted of yourself playing and singing. So I know for a fact that you're sensitive , intelligent and creative. Ride with it as best you can, and get help when it feels overwhelming( which I know it does for you sometimes; me too). I sometimes wish I was one of the unaware ones stumbling through life blissfully ignorant, but most of the time I am very grateful to have been been blessed ( and cursed) with these gifts.

5. Yes! All in all I'd say its a curse. Sensitivity be damned!
I, mostly, feel like a sieve, a doormat and a punching bag.
