I'm going to complain about my job for a little bit
I'm a trucker (does anyone not know that?) :) and I have a delivery route that I run 5 nights a week. I have 7 stops- 6 in southeast Ohio and one just across the West Virginia border in Parkersburg. I run 415 miles a night because I start over near Dayton and that's where I go back to. Along the route they got a foot of snow last Friday night and probably about 8 inches over the last two nights. I worked 13 hours Friday, 11 Monday night, and 12 last night. The route normally takes me 9 hours when everything goes right.

It is this time of year that makes me start to think about a career change. Days like these are just miserable. Not only am I stressed out driving all night in the snow, I have to get outside and unload the damn truck.

Then I got to thinking about it last night. This is the eighth day this year that we've had bad weather here. We probably won't have more than eight more before spring comes along. I'm miserable for 16 days a year and the rest of the time I'm content with what I'm doing. That's not a bad trade off, I guess. Things could certainly be worse.

It's hard to look at the bright side sometimes. :D
