i just got back from a chamber of commerce "business after hours" event

one of our competitors asked me if i was trying to steal his business, and i told him 'well, yeah' and then he was all (jokingly smilingly) "well fuck you" and then i was all, 'look pal, i don't even know you so go fuck yourself. good seeing you again.'

he avoided my glare when i got all "rec yard" on his ass the rest of the night.

5. I quit going to chamber of commerce events. Right wing assholes.

Bunch of right wing shitbags who won't do a damn thing. I got tired of going to events and passing out cards and getting NOWHERE. Waste of time and money.

I was in a creative business (My partner does video editing, recording engineering, DVD authoring, CD mastering and mixing, etc.) and I don't think any of those square rightwingers understood that at all.

Bankers and insurance people and bean counters. Not a creative thought among them.
