1. What did you do?
2. What was it like? Was it painful? How long was recovery?
3. Are you happy you did it?

I am thinking about it and was just curious what others had been through.

Thanks.

4. Yes. When I had a hysterectomy 15+ years ago I scheduled a plastic
surgeon to follow and do a tummy tuck through the same abdominal incision.

When I was being prepped for the surgery, one of the nurses told me, "we're (meaning other nursing staff)
all so jealous. What a great idea."

I had two C-sections previously, so the recovery was similar. Major surgery. I have always
been pleased I did it because I had a roll of skin from the last pregnancy when I was confined
to bed for 4 1/2 months because of complications and gained too much weight. There was no other
way to get rid of that skin (I had lost the weight).

5. I had a friend in college who had a nose job ...
Back then (early 70's), plastic surgery was very controversial. Supposedly, it meant you didn't love yourself. My friend's nose was a real honker. I mean, people passing her on the street would actually look twice; it was that enormous. She had the plastic surgery done during winter break. When she got back to school she had two black eyes and her bandages were still on, but a few weeks later she was just stunning . I don't mean just hot, but super hot. It made a big difference to her self-esteem and she was very glad she had it done. I just couldn't believe how beautiful my friend was.
