Zombieland ***SPOILER ALERT***
Edited on Thu Feb-18-10 04:26 PM by arcadian
The funniest friggin part of that movie was the Bill Murray segment.

Wichita: I'm sorry but you look remarkably like Eddie Van Halen

Bill Murray: I just saw Eddie Van Halen.

Wichita: Naaa-uhhh...

Bill Murray: Yeah

Tallahassee: Really? Where?

Bill Murray: at the Hollywood Bowl.

Tallahassee: Man, how was that?

Bill Murray: He's a zombie.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

1. Even if the "resolution" of that subplot could be seen a mile away, it was hilarious!
Easily the most fun I've had watching a movie all year.

2. People who avoid zombie movies without knowing what's in them
are truly losing out. That part was indeed comic genius.

"That still smarts." -Bill Murray, gently, to the person fingering the shotgun wound on his chest.

:rofl::hi:

3. I loved it too
Shaun of the Dead is still my fave, but Zombieland is a close second. Do you think "The Crazies" is a zombie flick?

6. Woody Harrelson
Tallahassee: I don't think we're gonna be able to stitch that up, do you think you might pull through?

5. The part that really cracked me up
Edited on Thu Feb-18-10 06:12 PM by Rob H.
was toward the end when Columbus bashes the zombie clown's head in and you can hear the clown's nose make a "Honk!" noise when the mallet comes down. I'm not sure what that says about me... :P

9. See, that whole Bill Murray segment ruined it for me, they could have cut that right out.

11. Yeah, I loved the rest of the movie, the Bill Murray part just felt so forced to me.
I've been thinking he's less funny every time I see him.

13. In comparison, I didn't like the ending
with the two incredibly clever girls being so incredibly stupid as to light up an entire amusement park and all its sound equipment, in the middle of a city full of zombies -just- as a plot device so that Woody and pal could rescue them and make good the relationship(s). Those girls were smart enough to never require rescue. Sheesh.

That was forced to me, incredibly out of character for those ladies. Unbelievable to me, nearly ruined the film.

I completely forgive anything in the Bill Murray segment in comparison (I liked it, though).

15. When they jumped out of the Hummer.
Edited on Fri Feb-19-10 10:20 PM by arcadian
Why did they do that, everybody knows if you slam on brakes the 3 zombies on the roof would have gone flying off. Clearly the brainstorm surrounding the movie was thus: "Let's make a zombie movie that takes place at an amusement park and the people ride the rides and blow zombies away and stuff" so they had to have a reason to be at the amusement park. The girls getting stuck there was as good a reason as any. I almost thought they were gonna do te completely predictable thing and have Harrelson get zombie bitten at the end. So glad they didn't

14. That was the saving grace of the movie. The rest was so-so.
Harrelson: "Oh wow, I'm the biggest fan of all your movies. I even like the dramatic stuff."

Bill Murray: "Thanks."

...

Harrelson: "Do you have any regrets."

Murray: "Well, maybe Garfield."
