I'm craving a chicken fried steak.

With country gravy, mashed pertaters, and a green leafy thing that I likely won't touch.

4. I actually had that for breakfast this morning at Denny's.
It was mouth-watering. I had it with two eggs - over medium, and hash browns (we had company who was going home today and it's nice when we take them out to breakfast and don't have to clean up when they're gone).

I used my fork and knife to cut/mix them ALL together after COVERING them with pepper...

I went to the gym afterwards, and if I rode a stationary bike for THREE DAYS, I couldn't have worked it off... but gawd freakin' damn it was goooooood.

7. I am always craving chicken fried steak!!
If not that, then Mexican food. I like my chicken fried steak with french fries to dip in the gravy and I have to have Tabasco shaken over the gravy- the best taste ever!!! I have been eating it just like this for 45 years. Thanks!!!

8. How about some chicken-fried chicken?
Seriesly. It is not the same thing as fried chicken. Rather, it is the same as above, only with a chicken cutlet instead of the steak. For all y'all health-conscious Texans out there. :-)

9. yum
at home it's called cowboy steak and the breading is just salt pepper and flour - doesn't get quite the good crust as diners do it but the homemade gravy is way better than any restaurant's crap out of a bucket. Secret ingredient? bacon grease, of course. OMG haven't had it in so long. Might need to get on that pretty soon. YUM:9

15. When I made it at home, I couldn't get the breading to
stick properly.

Someone please tell me the secret to cooking it?

16. I cooked up some last
weekend. Of course, according to the kids, mine were deepfried a tad to long and were kinda-sorta burned, but none were in refrig 12 hours later when they were looking for lunch....Of course my wife made some yesterday and they were perfect. But tehn she "COOKS" and I tend to have less success inthe kitchen, but stillhave fun trying....
