Digital video/YouTube question...I need help.

I take videos with my digital camera and post them on YouTube. When I convert the file with Windows Media Encoder from an AVI to a MVI and post it, the program changes it to a letterbox size (1:1.33), making everyone look dumpy. I know NOTHING about what I'm doing, so if you could walk me through a solution very slowly, I would appreciate it. Help! Thanks!

i'm convering videos for youTube by JetAudio - for me it's the most simple way.
you can get free version from http://www.jetaudio.com/download/.

when you install it and open, press "Ctrl + 0" (null), in opening window choose "add files" botton in the right-up corner and choose your file.

Then in right-down corner click on "Output Settings". in opening window select necessary file format (i usally pick "avi", "avi (DivX+MP3)"), in the "frame size", "frame rate" set "Source size"

click "OK" and then Start
