IMO, there's nothing humble about some of those opinions.

3. I always considered it to mean "honest" as well.
But you have a point about it being redundant....hopefully your opinions are honest, but there are times when they may not be.

Apparently, Rush Limbaugh brags about something called an "opinion audit" where he has a supposed "opinion auditor" go through whatever his opinions on the show are to ensure they are true. I guess he uses it to try to make himself sound credible, and claims he has a 98% opinion accuracy rating. To which point I say, duh--if that is truly your honest opinion, then it's your honest opinion. Whether your opinion matches the facts is totally irrelevant to the equation, however. My guess is that the 2% where his opinions aren't honest relate to how drug abusers should be treated.

I'd like to see a "fact audit" for him. My guess is that it would be somewhere around a -8000%.

5. I'd rather see people identifying their opinions as opinions instead of as facts.
