Beyonce is the devil': Fun with Google search suggestions

Sometime in the past couple of years, Google started helping knowledge seekers by autofilling searches typed into their standard search box. So if I type in "Liz," f'rinstance, Google tries to help me speed up my quest for knowledge by returning a list of 10 or so searches that most commonly begin with "Liz." So, "Liz" pulls up a list including "Liz Lee," "Liz Claiborne," "Liza Minnelli" and "Liz Cheney." According to Google's explainer, the autofill suggestions are "drawn from searches you've done, searches done by users all over the world, sites in our search index, and ads in our advertising network" and much fun has been had at their expense in the past.

Over at Buzzfeed, contributor Matt Stopera hit upon the novel idea of typing in celebrity names followed by the word "is." The results are nothing short of, spit-out-your-lunch, cramp inducing hilarity.

Take Beyonce -- best-selling artist, Grammy winner, married to Jay-Z -- for example. When Stopera typed in "Beyonce is," none of those facts came up. Here's what did and, yep, it's heaps more entertaining:
