Bored...made a video.

There are some sacrificing their sons
For a cause that seems vague and unending
There are some for whom murder makes sense
Under the banners of God and Country

How do you calculate the value of a life?
How many end the definition of victory?
Don't you blame your leader's voice
Every single killing is a personal choice

It should be obvious but it's not
The centuries of killing never stop
Evolution hasn't made us any saner now
Revolution always ends up in the status quo

There are better ways of spending your time
Than defending the indefensible
I swear that I can't even recognize
The country that I read about in grade school

I know you're young and not supposed to care
I know I'm old and I'm way past my prime
My generations made a mess of things
Please don't be an accessory to our crimes

It should be obvious but it's not
The centuries of killing never stop
Evolution hasn't made us any saner now
Revolution always ends up in the status quo

Don't you say that it's defensible
Don't you say that it's defensible
It's indefensible

Coyotes streak comes to an end against Chicago. I don't know if they(Chi) have a "great" goalie but he had a great game. There was two shots I thought for sure was going in there in the 3rd period and he made amazing saves. One time the puck was centimeters away from the red line (in front of the net) and was able to reach in time before it went in there.

Nice run while it lasted. Hopefully they can start up another streak! :bounce:

2. The Coyotes may be the team that no one wants to play come playoff time.
What do they have to lose? Nothing. This whole year has been a treat (I don't think they're staying in Phoenix after this year, so catch a game while you can). I'd love to see them take a round (or two) in the playoffs, and if they stay within what they're already doing they can easily do so and then some. No matters what happens, this has been a special year for the Coyotes. I love seeing stuff like this! :)

5. What!?!
You think they will leave Phoenix after this season? I know of the bankruptcy issues at the beginning of the season but there has been nothing on the local news that indicate that they are leaving. I'd love to catch a game but the arena is a long way from me and I can't really afford it. I imagine playoff tickets will be high.

Maybe a Stanley Cup parade in Glendale will keep them here!! :woohoo:

7. Anything short of a Cup and they're gone.
Even then. Sorry, the support just isn't there over the long term. They've sold so few tickets until just recently that even a bandwagon effect probably won't help them. Look for them to be in Winnipeg or Hamilton next year (my money is on Winnipeg getting their team back).

But give the team total credit, they're determined to go out in style (and Winnipeg really was an awesome hockey town...they deserve the team the most). Hopefully the Coyotes make a curtain call to end all curtain calls. :)

9. If they do move
figures, the year I follow them closely is the last year they're here. I wouldn't call myself much of a bandwagon fan as I was watching games since November and I got really into it but I see what you're saying. I may be selfish but it would crush me to see them to go to somewhere else because it would put in some sort of a limbo as a hockey fan. Who do I root for with no local team? I guess I'd root for the Winnipeg Jets II or whatever but it wouldn't be the same. I hope they stay. :)

4. Sports equals maybe a 4th of my music intake.
Just for perspective. ;)

How you doing, man?

6. Interesting that you mention that.

I listen to maybe 10 minutes of music a week (max). TV is on at night (kind of background noise), and during the workweek, I don't listen to anything. Music and radio chatter annoys the shit out of me. Interrupts my work and intermittent web surfing!! :)

On my 10 minute drive to work I have NPR on.

Edited to add: I get 45 minutes a day of my daughter practicing her violin!!

8. Music is my background.
It takes up more time for me than anything by far. Sports would second. And even then (sorry) it's the NHL that sucks up the most of my attention. And after 45 minutes of bad violin hockey is just what the doctor ordered! Tell me you don't want to see someone get smacked upside the head after that! ;)

I have songs that are longer than ten minutes. On my worst mood days, even when music doesn't even appeal to me, I still listen to about an hour's worth, at a minimum. At it's worst music still appeals to me more than anything else humans have come up with. :)

10. Well, I have to say,
that if there is any music that I listen to, it is classical. Something about it is relaxing. I have actually been to several orchestral concerts in the last couple of years and it is quite enjoyable. Especially when another DUer is the concertmaster!! Yeah, that would be GoddessofGuinness. Our daughter takes lessons from a virtuoso that GoG recommended!

Have I made you nauseous yet?

Heh!

GoG is a really good violinist! So is my daughter! DAMMIT YOU WILL AGREE WITH ME!!~!!!!

:hi:

11. That's awesome!
I have some classical music in the mix (don't let all the scary stuff scare ya). It can be some amazing stuff. You know me, I like it rough and raw, but any music from the heart and I'm in! That's all I ask from music to be honest. Though I rarely listen to music to relax....just the opposite. I want music that makes me stand up and groove! I'm 42 and don't ever want to slow down. :)
