Do you have them in your area? Do you have a membership? Whats with the membership anyway. $5 for a lifetime membership, but unlike every other store, the card is not scanned, swiped, or anything else, so they are not tracking you? Whats that all about?

1. They just want to bug you until you let them become a Facebook friend.
Actually, I have no idea. The name just sounded like a bisexual joke about WalMart.

2. Bi-Mart is pretty cool, and it's worth the $5 or so lifetime membership.
It's a low entry fee, for pretty much a lifetime membership.

Bi-Mart treats their employees well. They aren't perfect in that regard, but, I have family members who work for Bi-Mart, and they are, overall, pleased with their employer.

They have good deals. Bi-Mart is a good store.

3. They do have a lot of older employees
Who unlike Walmart, actually appear to be having a good time. Almost in a "hangin out havin a good time with the buds, but doing something more useful than shuffleboard" kinda way.

Why do you say "pretty much" lifetime membership?

I find their deals to be oddly inconsistant. Sometimes they are offering what I would consider Killer deals. Others, I cant find anything at prices that I couldn't beat going to 7-11. I never know what to expect, and I frequently forget that they even exist for months or years at a time.

Any speculation as to the purpose/value of the membership fee?

4. I say "pretty much" a lifetime membership because I ASSUME it is a lifetime membership.
My speculation about the purpose of the next-to-nothing fee, is that they want to keep shoplifters out.

Every store has oddly inconsistent deals to draw customers in. It's called "loss leaders".
