Some months back it was made clear to me that even using the meme "Han shot first," you imply that there really were two shots, when in fact there was only one. Sure, one could argue that Han's shot was first and was successful, so that there was no second shot was necessary, but even that's an artificial construction.

Han shot: Greedo did not. End of story.

After Jar Jar Binks and the casting of Anakin Skywalker, Greedo's retcon shot is the worst decision Lucas made after Howard the Duck.
