I'm a social worker, and I deal with crazy every day. For the past few months, I've noticed it ratchets up sharply during the full moon. Bizarre. I better stock up on crosses, holy water and silver bullets!

4. Don't maternity wards fill up during the full moon? The nurse who helped my
sister-in-law give birth to my niece told her that always happens.

5. my mom is a nurse, and she totally believes in it.
She's not a superstitious person either, in fact she's quite religious and usually dismisses "hokey pokey" stuff. But there must be something to it. The facts don't lie.

6. I'm the least superstitious person I know
If you read the health or R&T or skeptic forum you'll know that I'm pretty anti-superstitious.

But where I work we see an uptick in crime during full moons, especially the summertime. The increase is slight, and I attribute it to the extra light not the "moon vibes". Also because the increase doesn't usually happen if the weather is bad.

Since I manage the data for the office, I see the statistics myself.

9. The teachers at the school where I volunteer buy it.
Miz t. and I work with kindergarteners, one on one.
ABCs, numbers, simple reading first words, etc.

One day my kids just could not concentrate.
Fidgity, squirmy, EVERYONE seemed to have ADHD.
I mentioned it to the teacher.
"Full moon", she said.
"They're WILD today."

10. My daughter an ER nurse
says it is totally true. They get more patients during a full moon and the injuries and illnesses are more bizarre.
