2. Sad loss. Pete was a very troubled individual.

I've followed his music since Carnivore back in the mid-to-late 80s. As ham-handed as Slow, Deep and Hard was, I would play "Unsucessfully Coping With The Natural Beauty of Infidelity" quite a lot. I was into epics and Type O could deliver with the best of them. Type O had a unique blend to their sound that kept you coming back no matter how depressed the tunes got.

Cocaine and massive quanities of alcohol (anyone who's seen them live in the early years know Pete could put giant-sized wine bottles away like they were water) will lay waste to one's heart fast. Here's hoping he's in a better place.
