Last weekend, some hipster said to me "Wow, I didn't realize people were still drinking coffee."

Last weekend, some hipster said to me "Wow, I didn't realize people were still drinking coffee."
Not in the ironic sense, or even being sincere. They were actually saying it in a condescending manner like "I'm too cool to be drinking coffee anymore."

I felt like holding them down and peeing on them. I'm sure that would have resulted in a "Wow, I didn't realize that people were still peeing on people" though.

And no, I wasn't asking them out.

Have you considered that the hipster was trying to be uber-ironic, as in, so ironic that the average person can't detect the irony? After all, if everyone can spot the irony, that's lame. ;)
