6. I couldn't afford COBRA either, so I haven't had coverage since June of '09
I guess you just have to hope that nothing happens :-(

Husband laid off in January after 20 years at his job. He's 59. Our daughter is a junior in high school looking forward to college next year.

I hope you quickly have good luck in locating another job. It's brutal out there. But, it's important to maintain a positive attitude and realize that this, too, shall pass.
