feeling so censored

my friend and hair goddess is getting married and asked for art for her new place.

I do plan on doing a living room series for her. But she also asked for a pin up collection

My mom said "Gross"

what do you think.....the large rose is her most predominate tattoo.

Love your post. As my friend and tattoo artist said, if your mom liked your art, it would probably be pretty crappy art. And its true. I think my mom has an illogical fear of breasts. lol

I think she'll like them......They are just sketches for a bigger work. She has not seen them yet. I know not everybody likes the same art, and most of the time it doesn't matter if my mom likes my work. But when it disgusts her, I can't help but take it personal, as each work is an expression of me.

Rather, you were critiqued. Probably feels the same coming from a parent, though. I personally prefer having a Berlin Wall between my family and my artistic life. I can't trust the positive feedback and I can't shake loose the negative.
