The haters are runnin' me down.

I am sad and alone, like a kitten in a dumpster, digging for scraps and licking her lips at the sight of a tossed out fish bone.

Congratulations, haters. You've managed to control my feelings for the day. Aren't you proud?

You should celebrate with some cheap beer and a can of processed bean dip. I recommend a bag of stale tortilla chips to go with it.

Then sit down and watch reality television. I have never been more impressed with the number of quality role-models that reality television provides for some people. I mean, sit down and take notes!

A red letter day for the haters.

I had to cheer up another DUer earlier.

Told him about the battle over styrofoam recycling I had with an asshole in Berkeley yesterday.

Styrofoam is banned in Berzerkeley because they don't know that it can be recycled.

So they just ban it.

Truth is styrofoam is quite easily recycled, there's a plant in my city that will take all you have.

It got ugly.

They CAN occasionally overwhelm, but I've found the best thing
to do when they get in your face (realistically or figuratively)
and (worse) in your head... is to look on both sides of you AND
to your back... and just remember that there are good people
standing right there alongside you and that have your back,
too (realistically or figuratively).

THOSE are the folks we should allow to overwhelm us... not the haters.

I don't know who these haters are, but I would imagine they've got "loser" written all over them.

You are young (I think) and smart and actually, a very good writer. Lots of us here online care about you, but I bet there are plenty of people in real life that care about you too. Many of us have been the kitten in the dumpster - we know how you feel. You are not alone.
