This is truth.
.
I've posted several (many?) times about how my one conservative friend
sends me the chain emails he gets from his conservative friends. Over
the years, he's probably sent me hundreds... and all it takes is a quick visit
to Snopes.com to disprove them -- EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ONE OF THEM
(OK, OK... there was ONE that wasn't false, but only because it was some
opinion piece supposedly written by a schoolteacher -- and even THAT was
attributed incorrectly).
.
This cartoon shows me I'm not alone in my beliefs about these chain emails.
.
If YOU get them -- go to Snopes.com, copy/paste the appropriate url, and
Reply All to send it back up the line.
.
Not that it'll do any good -- these folks DESPERATELY want to believe in
the bullshit.
.
After all... what are they without it?
.
.

1. That was cute and there have been some good ones
I think the one I used to get the most was the "successful company owner for over 40 years forced to lay off 400 workers the day after Obama was elected because he could no longer afford to be in business" and then punch line "he started laying off all his employees with Obama bumper stickers on their cars first".

If they ever have an awards ceremony for stuff like that and urban legends I think that one would definitely be nominated something.

2. Pertinent snopes URL + Reply All won't change many minds
but eventually, gullible fools will stop forwarding crap to YOU. That is reward enough in some cases.

3. Just block them if you can.
They all believe that snopes.com is a commie pinko government site to undermine their truthiness. You can't win against their perceptiveness of 'truthiness.'

4. Part of that comic sounds like part of the deceiver false doctrine.
The false doctrine that says all things are actually untrue, the concept that existence is bad not good, and all things heard are lies.

I do think people should think and feel because there is deception, although I think their is also truth.

And the comic also speaks about the idea of there being some truth, but then ask the question how would a person know if it is spread from the same method?

You could correlate that to the supernatural, if bad speaks often in a way, how would you know if you hear something from supernatural that is good? What is the lie, what is the truth, and how can a person know?

I think that is why people have to think and feel on things to keep themselves from just following anything they hear.

Power does not make right, a person has to decide what matches what their heart says is best. Especially since most things seem to have both good and bad in them.
