3. I used to hear that song all the time on the AM radio in my dad's car...
...on the trips to and from my grandmother's house in Somerville, MA.

The big Boston radio station, when I was a kid, was WRKO. I used to own a double vinyl album of wall-to-wall Top 40 hits that they released, and that song was on it.

2. Definitely The motherfucking STONES
Never was a big fan of "All (for) Satan In America" (as the pastor of my church insisted on calling them)

I didn't hate them because they were Satanic. I hated them because they reduced the talent of Steve Howe and Carl Palmer (and the other two) to such mediocre crap music.

As far as the Stones go, have you heard this version yet?

From the new Exile remaster.

Heroin... what a Hell of a drug.

4. I did hear that, and...
...while Rolling Stone's review of the Exile "Deluxe" Edition swooned over the Keef version and wondered how he and Mick ever were able to decide which version to use on "Exile," when I first hear it I thought "Wow...that boy is FUCKED UP."

5. I love Asia. (for what it is)
I think Asia was a great band. I never expected or wanted them to be a prog-rock powerhouse, just four guys with prog-rock backrgounds doing the pop-rock thing. FWIW, I thought they did it well.

Sadly, the similarities between me and the 40 y.o. virgin get greater with each passing day. ;)

6. Well, at least Asia is back to being Asia...
...and not simply Geoff Downes and a bunch of other guys.

The new album, released earlier this month:

Their second CD since reuniting. Pretty much all of the "prog" has been removed from their particular brand of "prog rock." But a lot of people who enjoyed the first two albums with the original lineup like this one as well...maybe simply for the fact that it's the original band.
