1. Verily, methinks thou doth protest too much.
400 years later, the storylines and character flaws are still relevant. As for the Bard sucking, well, it was an all-male business in those days.

3. Well, yes, actually.
Except I think the better half of the band is dead. That isn't the extent of my Anglophilia either; I have a deep and abiding affection for the proper use of the English language.

I admit to the charge of knavery. I made clean away with the queen's tarts; I confess.

In English Lit 101, our final (out of four) section was Shakespeare. I went
from an A+ to a B- due to my inability to "get it".

12. In 1592 rival playwright Robert Greene sniveled
There is an upstart crow, beautified with our feathers, that with his tiger's heart wrapped in a player's hide supposes he is as well able to bombast out a blank verse as the best of you, and being an absolute Johannes-factotum is in his own conceit the only Shake-scene in a country.

the allusion to Aesop's crow (who strutted in borrowed plumage, as an actor struts in fine words not his own) - Prefatory Remarks, Signet Classic

"an actor struts in fine words not his own"

Thou sanguine coward, thou bed-presser, thou horseback-breaker, thou huge hill of flesh!

O teach me how I should forget to think. Thy food is such as hath been belch'd upon by infected lungs! I think thou wast created for men to breath themselves upon thee.

16. The guy in the picture might be kinda overrated
since no alleged portrait of The Bard has ever been verified. So y'know, just because he's wearing Shakespeare's shades it doesn't mean it's really him.
