And an interesting quote.
Quite a thing to live in fear isn't it, thats what it is to be a slave
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
Deckard: I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life; my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.
Note that although he thinks he is dying, he still saves another life. And even thinking he is dying, the dove caries his spirit upward. A very moving scene in a film. Not lost, the story of one act of contrition? Of things being more then any person can know? Or maybe just that people see different things. Or another view, maybe by saving a life, someone was around to hear his thoughts, thoughts that are some of the best known in film.
Reminds me of Dorsai, (but not for only money)
Edit: I should add, if the phrase 'you people' bothers someone, some think of it in terms of race, however you could think of it as Yoo.
