Rheumatoid Arthritis can affect all the little things...

...like putting on shoes that are designed to help you break your neck.

12. You would think hands buttoning a shirt

or tying sneaker would have been more apt. Fucking idiots. I can't stand pharmaceuticals being marketed to the public. It should be illegal. This year I found out I have RA too.

13. I'm so sorry...
I don't like these damned drug commercials either. I pay a doctor to know about that stuff.

I hope you find some relief for your RA...

15. Thank you.

I have found some relief and luckily, without pharmaceuticals. Staying away from sugars and taking fish oil, bitter cherry, turmeric and ginger supplements have made a world of difference. I keep a good attitude about it too. That always helps.

14. Same here. Couldn't even hold my toothbrush.
Couldn't turn the water faucet on or off, because my wrists sort of locked. Had to open the cat food container with my teeth. I never thought there could be such debilitating pain.

16. I had my wrists lock up too one night,

and I didn't know what the hell was wrong with me. It was scary. Apparently I had signs in my thirties and didn't know it. I didn't hit me hard until last Dec. I'm doing much better now.

8. Even before being diagnosed with RA
I rarely wore heels. The whole concept irritates me. They aren't comfortable, they aren't practical. They're designed to attract attention, usually from males. Screw that.

IMHO, of course.

10. I used to wear high heels, but never more than a couple of inches
The pain just didn't seem worth it.
