Grateful Dead lyricist Hunter teams up with Jim Lauderdale in "Patchwork River"
DUers - I haven't heard an album this good for a long, long time.

From the review:

The term “Instant Classic” is surely one of the most overused descriptions in reviews of books, movies or musical recordings. But when it fits, an honest reviewer has little choice but to apply it.

Such is the case with the 2010 CD “Patchwork River” by one of Americana’s finest artists, Jim Lauderdale. Lauderdale’s lyrical collaborator for this masterwork is none other than longtime Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. This unlikely powerhouse combination delivers in a big way with songs at once magical and down-to-earth, reflective and forward-looking, introspective and exuberant.
