2. Well, I wanted to find out whether or not there actually is a prison in Mecca.

However, after using a search engine for the words "Mecca" and "prison", I lost patience, but observed the popularity of the issue described in #3.

Edited to add after getting a second wind of patience:
There seems to be a "Matta Jail" either in or near Mecca.
