I found the actual newspaper clipping online...1944.

My uncle was home on leave. Scary tough man. A boxer in the military. Thick glasses and felt no pain. 5 10, coke bottle glasses and built like a brick shithouse. Could not get within 5 feet of him without trembling. No lie.

1944... uncle robbed a market, got shot in the fucking hip. went to my dad's house at 1 pm, woke him up, and asked him to drive him back to base. my dad had no idea he was shot...he got out at the base and my dad drove home and the cops were waiting for him.

they believed my dad's story.

in the light of day the car seat was covered with blood.

my extended family did some bad shit...only one cousin ever served prison time. Why, i don't know...don't want to know.
