I loaded epicurious immediately and I know I will love using that. When I synced with itunes, I ended up with apps from my son's itouch. He's got a lot of games and some random stuff like something that shows you movie times at the theaters.
I would never have purchased this for myself but it makes getting email easier for me to do (I never use my phone for that kind of stuff because I can't see it, lol.)
"Zombieville USA" is hard to beat. There's also a "roll your own music" app called "Beatwave" that's fun to mess around with. You can even get the Kindle app for iPad if you'd like to read books on it--and there are quite a few public domain classics that you can download for free.
