1. My sister likes it. I frankly couldn't tell the difference from Vista.
In short, if you've ever liked Windows, you'll probably like 7.

4. Just make sure it has enough speed and RAM to run Windows 7 efficiently.
I had a web book that choked on Windows 7.

The wifey needs an upgrade. She deserves it, for the most part.

14. I love my desktop
Have a laptop, but desktop is my first choice. Both are new. My desktop is an HP Touchsmart. Its an all in one with a 23 inch HD LCD display. Just a power cord - have plenty of room on my old 1950s desk.

the hubs just bought me a Sony Vaio - I try to use it at home, but all my pets like to be right next to me and kind of hard to keep their little paws off the thing, so use it at school.

My desk chair is very comfy - plenty of room to kick my feet up on the desk, with the keyboard in my lap.

15. I keep my laptops on a desk and use a wireless key board.
One laptop is 17 inches and really to big to pack around so it is more of a table top computer.

The other laptop is a nice Acer, very thin and light.

I carry this laptop around.

My new laptop will be like the Acer, easy to pack around.

I do have a monitor for the laptops to hook up to.

My feet are up on a desk right now, I like my comfy chair.

8. I like 7. It's lkes obtrusive than Vista and more stable than XP.
It starts up and shuts down much faster than either.

10. I love my Windows 7 on my desktop!
I never had Vista. I went to 7 from XP. I liked XP a lot but I love Windows 7! It feels more elegant and intuitive somehow...

12. I held out for a while, but it is way better than Vista and blows away XP.
I guess what I'm saying is that Win 7 actually seems to work.

16. I have been using Vista with no problems so Windows 7 should be fun.
Now to choose the laptop, good sales will be coming soon.

17. You can't go wrong with a 17" HP.
Well, unless you want something that weighs less than a dump truck. Then go with the 15" HP with the double-size battery. No, I don't work for HP. I've just had VERY good experiences with them, including an out of warranty repair (motherboard) that they treated like an IN-warranty repair. Within 7 days, they shipped me a carton with a pre-paid shipping label, made the repair, and shipped it back (overnight on a Sunday). THAT is service!

We've now have a 17", four 15", and a 10.2" that came pre-installed with Linux (all HP). The prices are in line with the other manufacturers as well.

18. You will love W7....
Make sure you read up on UAC (User Account Control) before you start using the system extensively. Otherwise it can be annoying.
