AC/DC's seminal album was released on July 25, 1980. (So I'm a bit early...)

The album has sold an estimated 49 million copies to date worldwide, making it the second highest selling album of all time, and the best selling hard rock or heavy metal album, as well as the best selling album ever released by a band. Among my friends, it was THE album that EVERYONE owned and cranked at full volume during that entire decade.

and the remastered CD that somehow was added to the Bonfire box set, even though Bon had nothing to do with that record.

I never realized the album had the same "birthday" as my sister. That's kinda weird.

Some kid I used to deliver papers with copied the cassette for me. I wore that tape out and eventually got it on CD after the remaster.

Never get tired of that album. Man I feel old.

Never had any desire to, either. These guys were so overplayed on the radio that there was no need.

They have been the standard-bearer for good-natured, fun metal for decades now.

I believe that Bon Scott was involved in the early stages of the album, maybe even cut some tracks, before his death. Brian Johnson re-recorded those tracks and the rest is history.

I will always prefer Bon Scott's vocals, but that's just me.

And, yes, I know Bon was a good singer. But BiB was just huge. It eclipsed everything they did before, and everything since pales in comparison.

But AC/DC is, without question, the most successful bar band ever.

They must have taped them playing through the entire album on an empty stage.

I had to run 2 miles, the last 2 laps I didn't think I was gonna make it, my gait started to sound strangely like the beat to BIB, I started singing it in my head and finally got to the finish line.

I used to crank it when I worked the heavy bag as a kid. "Shake a Leg" was especially fun when doing karate.
