On Netflix instant view The Pillars of the Earth, from the Starz channel.

The first two episodes are ready for viewing, a very excellent show.

If you like the Tudors and early English history you will like this show.

The first episode Anarchy.

The show has King Henry I, his baby grandson Henry II and the battle for the throne from evil family members.

Very well made.

1. I always appreciate DUer's NetFlix instants' reviews...

I really hadn't watched many movies in the last couple of years
until the NF Instants...now I wish I had more time to see many of them.

I have always enjoyed movies aboout Elizabeth I and Henry the VIII.

This a prehistory to that.

3. I LOVED the book! Can the film be had on disc?

I had no idea it was being put on film. I think I've read it a dozen times. One of those books that you can't stand the story coming to an end. Not at all the kind of story one would expect from Ken Follett, but I like it the best.

I was thinking about catching this after seeing all the magazine print ads, but we don't have Starz anymore (switched from satellite to cable--the jury is still out on that decision). I live on Netflix instant view--will def catch this. Thanks! :hi:

It is really good.

No money seemed to be spared making this show.

I watched the show twice already.
