Top Chef Peagate
Edited on Wed Jul-28-10 11:59 PM by Duer 157099
If you've seen tonight's episode, you know what I'm talking about.

Alex looked guilty as hell, but that could have been an editing thing. Either Alex is guilty and the editors knew it and thus were unfair to Ed, or Alex is innocent and the editors did a fine job of making him look slimy.

If you saw it, what did you think? And will we ever find out for sure?

edit to add link to Chef Tom's blog about this:

1. I would think that if he'd done it, it would have been recorded,
and he would have been kicked off the show.

2. If he didn't do it, he should be really pissed at the editors/producers
Because everything in that show points to him having taken Ed's puree.

3. I thought noone could remember seeing Alex make the puree
during the prep time. Maybe there will be some kind of follow-up after all the tapes are reviewed.

4. It was clear he didn't make it the day before
because that evening, he was talking to Kenny and someone else in the kitchen, telling them he had these English peas but he didn't know what he was going to do. Then Kenny mentioned that Ed had made a puree out of the same English peas (that Ed had bought), so there's no doubt that Alex knew that Ed had made a puree.
