"thank you for that, sir" CUSTOMER SERVICE BLOWS MONKEY CHUNKS!
God damn, three fucking hours. Offshore idiots. I am trying to downlaod MP3s into my SAMSUNG phone. Simple enough task I think. But there is something wrong with the phone and they keep telling me there is something wrong with my computer (there isn't) and all this crap. I have done some things now ten times and still no result. I have to deal with my carrier and they send me to India. Even the supervisors are from India and speak with even worse English.

Horrible experience. Can't explain shit to these people. GOD I HATE IT SO MUCH. Do this, do that and guess what, I have erased my memory card for the third time today at their suggestion. And loaded it up, only to find thqat it is not recognizing the songs. They are MP3's, we checked six times) too.

What a load of shit.

1. Too bad we never find out how shitty service and equipment is
until we have already spent the money. Thanks for the heads-up on SAMSUNG phones. Your experience will surely save others (although I don't have a clue where we find GOOD customer service anymore). If people think politicians don't care about them, all they have to do is call a major corporation's customer service. So sorry.

3. I had a lot of trouble with Samsung phones too

Have you tried the T-Mobile phone forums? I've found them to be useful. When T-Mobile insists they never heard of such a problem, I usually find pages of people on their forums with the same issue.

Do you maybe have a Behold II? If so, very sorry :-(

4. Thanks..
They had another guy call me. I could not understand him when he said my name. HOW IN THE HELL IS THIS GUY GOING TO DO ANYTHING BUT AGGRAVATE ME? I could not understand anything he said, Finally I told him I had enough and to call me tomorrow.

It is unbelievable. SMART TALK is my carrier and I have to deal with the carrier not SAMSUNG because of my plan....I paid `100 bucks for the phone juut so I could use it as an MP 3 player...

6. I have a very hard time understanding thick accents...
I think I just don't have that "ear" that would help me figure out what someone is trying to say.

I often tell them I'm hard of hearing, and / or have a very hard time understanding accents, that it's my problem, not theirs. I eventually get bounced to someone with at least a bit better English language skills.

Sorry about the phone. I do understand "customer service" irritation, though.

7. They send me emails...
and it is like they don't even read what I put on my emails to them about the problems. Everyone of them keeps mentioning ringtones and this HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH RINGTONES.

5. Gonna be more fun than a barrel!

$22 million, federally-backed program aims to help outsourcers in South Asia become more fluent in areas like Java programming—and the English language.

. . .

Following their training, the tech workers will be placed with outsourcing vendors in the region that provide offshore IT and business services to American companies looking to take advantage of the Asian subcontinent's low labor costs.

Under director Rajiv Shah, the United States Agency for International Development will partner with private outsourcers in Sri Lanka to teach workers there advanced IT skills like Enterprise Java (Java EE) programming, as well as skills in business process outsourcing and call center support. USAID will also help the trainees brush up on their English language proficiency.

"To help fill workforce gaps in BPO and IT, USAID is teaming up with leading BPO and IT/English language training companies to establish professional IT and English skills development training centers," the U.S. Embassy in Colombo, Sri Lanka, said in a statement posted Friday on its Web site.

8. aw boo fucking HOO
imagine having to train those offshore idiots, or be on a conference call with them for ten hours while they flounder trying to fix a problem that a year ago could have been fixed in 45 minutes by an American team - welcome to MY world

9. That must suck...
I finally told them not to call me. I will discontinue my service and throw the phone away.

They told me that my SD card was not compatible with the phone. Then they said it was compatible but they had no idea why it wasn't working...

One thing is for sure. I am going to to ask about Customer Service and tech support every time I buy anything. If they are not located in the US them i won't buy it.

14. Maybe.
I challenge you to find a phone made in the USA. You find a company doing that, they will go to the top of my list the next time I buy one. Same deal for a washing machine, a LCD monitor, and pretty much anything else complex and electronic.

You are right in your desire. I am just unconvinced that, aside from eschewing the conveniences of the modern world, buy American can be accomplished. I think we are too far gone unless we get some heavy guns on our side with this(ie something to force corps to start making things here again)

10. Can your phone see the SD card?
If so, maybe you can chuck the card into the computer, DL away, shove it into the phone and go?

11. Tried that....
The phone won't read the card. That is the problem right there. They just won't admit the phone is broken or that it has a flaw...
