Which DUer makes the best word salad?
Maybe someone makes a better word salad but for sentimental reasons you are partial to another.

Who are the up and coming Word Salad Makers at DU?

4. I googled it to be sure that I understood the term and was surprised to see it's a medical term too.
BTW I don't really think that Tuesday Afternoon meant it that way (it would be uncharacteristic of TA to post something with that intent) but I figured that if I wasn't aware of the medical reference others may not be either.

For me, knowing now what it means formally I'm less inclined to use it informally.

(sorry, someone has to be shameless enough to post even the lamest puns, and I'm just the guy for the job)

Oops--posted this before I read the whole post and realized the subject had turned sort of serious...no disrespect intended on my part either.

9. I really didn't think that you knew what it meant either.
I should've used more words to make clear that I wasn't serious about that poke. I sometimes forget that translating a humorous barb to written form is an art form.

As I replied above though, I was shocked to find out that it had a clinical meaning. Here I thought it was a nice benign term.

6. If you mean mixture of randomly chosen words that,
while arranged in phrases that appear to give them meaning,
actually carry no significance.

then I would have to say that Random Thought's posts most often
seem that way to me.

7. yes, this is what I meant. I did not know it had a "formal definition"
and RT does a beautiful job of it. I admire the style. No insult intended.
