My Mother who is in hospice will be passing tonight or by morning.

I spent the weekend at the home where the hospice is located.

It is something to see the living start to pass over.

I have great respect for the people who work in nursing homes and hospice centers.

My mother who I really never knew, had a interesting life.

I am having strange feelings now, when my Aunt who raised me died that was hard.

This isn't the same feelings, but this woman did carry me for nine months and I owe her my time.

My mother is a Navy vet, traveled the world during WWII.

Her ashes will be spread on the old farm she grew up on, this was her wish.

I will be receiving her flag, I will proud to accept it.

Sail on Mother to the next big journey, may it be a good one.

Thanks for the letting me know you for the last few months of your life.

I wish her safe passage and peace to you.

Just needed to come home and get cleaned up.

My Mother is sleeping, has been sleeping for most of the weeknend.

She has alzheimers, very advanced along with her heart problem.

She has a journal she kept during WWII, I haven't read it yet.

I will take it with me to read, I will read it aloud to her.

Please, stay as long as you can and you will always be at peace with yourself because you won't have to think about the "what ifs". They didn't tell us that our dad had died 15 minutes prior to us going into his room. We talked to him for about 1/2 hour before noticing that something was terribly wrong with him. We are left with the "What if" we had gotten their earlier. :hug:

Which it sounds like you've attained....I'm glad the last few months were positive and productive in your relationship with her.

It is really nice you were able to have some time with her. Alzheimer's is awful. Peaceful passage to your mom.

And reading through her journal when you can will be fascinating.
