I see flight attendants get verbally abused often. They get blamed for lousy airline policy, lousy food, delays, overcrowding...none of which is their fault. To the 5% idiot factor among passengers, they're seen as the face of everything wrong. I can't imaging how often they have to wonder why they subject themselves to it all.

According to the clip on Huffpost, he's caring for a terminally ill mother. The sad part of this story is that what happens now won't make his life or his mother's life any easier.

11. I wouldn't last a single trip as a flight attendant.

I just know I'd be standing at the front of the plane hollering at everybody over the PA, telling them to sit down RIGHT THE FUCK NOW and buckle your goddamn seat belts and DO NOT SAY ANOTHER WORD TO ME or we are going to taxi back to the gate and all you buttholes can just GET OFF THE DAMN PLANE. And then I'd just throw them their little bags of peanuts and those really good gingersnap cookies (that I'd rather eat myself) like I was a vendor at a baseball game. And then I'd get fired without ever even having to blow the slide.

7. I voted him a hero...on the MSNBC poll...guy sounds like he has a lot

of stress in his life right now...maybe this will highlight the shitty working conditions most employers think is par for the course...especially airlines.

8. I don't know if the airlines are responsible for this. I think it's the

general obnoxious american on the plane, who thinks he doesn't have to listen to the flight crew. It's kind of like the abusive shopper who chews out the walmart employee because of the corporate situation, for which the clerk has no responsibility.
I think they should arrest the stupid obnoxious passenger.
This flight attendant endangered no one.
I can't say he's a 'hero' as I think far fewer are than some people think. And he didn't handle it well.
But I say free him and arrest the passenger.
