**Ability to research, interpret, and apply procedures, regulations, or policies pertaining to administrative support programs.***

I'm a higher level admin, experienced, non-manager type. I have to explain, in a paragraph, what I've done pertaining to this ability.

what do they mean by "administrative support programs?" I'm pretty sure they don't mean computer programs.
some kind of training...or is it a process?

1. They want you to explain what you have done as far as being an administrative asst in the past
Administrative support program is basically a fancy way of saying "administrative job"

"ability to research, interpret and apply procedures, regulations or policies pertaining to administrative support programs"= "please explain your previous work experience as an adminstrative asst"

This is my interpretation.

2. i guess that is possible...
but it is a government job and they want specific, concrete examples...
the question previously wanted a concreted example of how I did day to day tasks with only broad, general guidance.

I need some kind of more specific answer.

plus when I look up "administrative support programs"...the phrase seems to have actual usage

3. if its a government job, look up the regs that pertain to admin support
or personnel specialist. It has changed a lot since I first started.

When I retired the admin people were doing things such as computer support with passwords and other less techical issues.

4. they didn't mention any thing technical in this job description..
and there is a question later on about how I used software, etc...

Where would I look up the regulation that pertains to administrative support?

5. It means they're addicted to buzzwords and biz-speak mumbo jumbo,
which will be exceedingly annoying if you decide to work there...

Other than that, I have no idea. Good luck!
