I have a confession to make.

I have a fish named Sweetie.

She's a White Cloud minnow. I've had her for about two years now. After about three weeks of not coming up with a name, I realized that the only thing I had been calling her since I got her was "Sweetie" so I decided that was as good a name as any. It is a little confusing since I call my wife, three daughters, both female cats, and both female dogs the same thing. The male cat (who is fucking huge) I usually just call "big guy" if I'm not using his real name.

4. Actually, you wouldn't expect this of a minnow, but she's rather social.

I wiggle my fingers at her and she comes over to say hello. It isn't even about food. It is just a social thing. Food is food and that's that.

Oh, we moved her into a new tank this weekend - one that's easier to see from the ground level. Our Sheltie just noticed her for the first time yesterday - "WHAT the FUCK is THAT?????"
