Advice needed: A laptop for a DJ who also VJs (mixes videos).
1)I will entertain Mac enthusiasts, but we are (so far) a PC based family and he djs with a PC laptop. He does not really mind switching so much as he's worried it will throw his game off when he's mixing, so to speak. He's so used to/intuitive to the PC way of doing things that he's afraid of a Mac really taking a lot of time to get used to - time he does not really have since he is our sole worker in the family.

2)It must be a company that will put on/already puts on an S-Video out on the laptop. He dj/vjs at a lot of clubs where their system is antiquated; and he needs to be able to use whatever they have. It seems a lot of laptops have HDMI outs - but not S-Vid.

3)It must have either available or upgradeable to at least a 500GB HD; and preferably a 1TB. He already carries a 1TB HD with all his vids stored on it; but we desperately need second backup on the fly in case something happens to one or the other of them. Not to mention his music library, lol!

4)So obviously and most importantly it must be a good laptop for video playback; with whatever that entails..processor speed; video card/graphics card, sound card; etc.

Just thought I'd put it out there in case anyone wanted to take a whack at helping us..
Any and all advice will be listened to :)
Thanks!
