I am ordering my first smartphone next month, a droid.

I put in a lot of waiting room time for my grandparents' appointments and it really would come in handy for that.

It's about time I catch up a little.

and it really does change your life a bit. Effectively, it gives you a computer anywhere you have wifi. It took me a couple of months to stop thinking about it all the time. (It was a lot like falling in love, come to think of it.)

Hey,
I always saw those people with their phones glued to their hands and thought I would never be one. That changed shortly after I got my first crackberry. Now I am always on the thing. I recently got a Droid X, I like listening to podcasts and multitasking while on the bus to and from work. I rarely use it as an actual phone. I will not set up my work email account on it, never!

Have you gone and looked at them? Do you want a physical keyboard or an onscreen one?
