My uncle went to his social security disability hearing today
They talked about his lifestyle and what he did to bring on his health problems and if he's disabled, how was he able to live in the mountains with all the work that requires. He is really DEPRESSED!! This sucks. The man can't work,he is suppose to be on oxygen 24/7, (he only sleeps with it). Is this normal?

No shit. A lawyer is often a good option, but get one who does NOTHING OTHER THAN SS DISABILITY. They first 6 months of payments are NOT subject to repayment so don't let them bullshit you on that. And SS disability is NOT a social program. You're only eligible if you pay into it and it is money YOU HAVE ALREADY CONTRIBUTED. All disability payments are is an early payout on what you would be getting at retirement age anyway. Fight that shit.

3. My uncle worked as a mechanic all his life
and earned a good living until his first heart attack,so he paid in.

I didn't get credit for my last 18 months of working so I don't get as much as I should. My boss was acting like he was taking out taxes but he was really paying us cash.
