2. It always freaks me out to see the original Kermit with the fat frog legs
Edited on Fri Sep-24-10 07:31 AM by Bucky
Later full-body iterations of Kermit show him with skinny legs, even tho that doesn't make any sense for a frog.

6. This was before he got off the booze and night life.

Henson took him away from all that.

8. Thank you for posting this...
You made me travel back in time...when life was simple, I was young....and my children were just learning about the world.
Many memories.....We loved and learned from him...and laughed together...joy.

My children are grown...
We will forever carry a part of him in our hearts.

I'm thankful that he visited your world also.

peace~

10. I shook his hand once
Back when I was a puppeteer and editor of the Australian puppeteer's journal, he visited Sydney and we were introduced. He was lovely, all laid-back and affable. And of course I told him how much I admired his work.

The great Russian puppeteer Sergei Obratsov wrote "The soul of the puppet is the hand of the puppeteer." After I shook the Hand of Henson I swore I was never gonna wash my right hand again, lest I lose the manipulation mojo I had surely gained.

11. Cool story and puppeteer quote.

I would have loved to become a puppeteer! As a kid I wanted to work with Henson. I never realized that dream nevertheless he greatly influenced me as an artist and a person.
