Help! My soup is bitter!
So, my wife made fish soup. I think she added too much lime and now the soup is bitter. Is there anything we can do to salvage it?

2. Side note, many people use 'bitter' and 'sweet' as metaphors.
It is in many writings.

If you can find the sweetness in a lemon, is it bitter?

3. Consider tamarind or cinnamon
I put tamarind chutney on my cod or haddock on fish days. Helps with bitterness. You could try A1 if you don't have tamarind chutney.

with nothing but Asian people to be seen through the windows -- looking for
"authentic".

GREAT place, except one of the entrees we ordered was "Beef with Bitter Melon".

6. Title of the OP sounds like a really bad Japanese mystery novel
poorly translated into English.

Probably make a TV series out of it.

12. My neighbor suggests black olive juice to remove the bitter from
spaghetti sauce. Maybe it would work with your fish.

13. You can always add some cream or milk or butter, or even creme fraiche.

I'd suggest that you ladle out some of the soup into a bowl first and experiment with just a little of the soup to see if it works, and then go from there.
