2. Unfortunately
those are from past episodes of Masterpiece Classic. The first is Sean Bean in Sharpe's Peril and Sharpe's Challenge. The second is Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. The best Mr. Darcy ever.

5. There is no other Darcy.
And I'd be looking at you, Olivier, if you existed.

4. Must be a local choice.
Still on Sunday night here. That is our Sunday night routine, Nature and Masterpiece.

6. Still Sunday here
But what they did a few years back was combine Masterpiece and Mystery. Hate that. Mystery used to be on Thursdays so I'd have two great shows to watch. Damn budget cuts...

12. I don't mind it too much.
We watch it whatever they are showing, and it's usually always good.

14. What appeals to me about him
is his intelligence. I am a lady of a certain age, you know.

I do have to include this one, too, though.

The Lynley series is one of my all time favorites. The books however, not so much...

8. Masterpiece coming soon....
If you guys like Sherlock Holmes you've got to watch the new ones coming up in a few weeks. It is set in modern times!! I was lucky to see this when in Britain this summer.

Just kidding, it looks interesting. But Jeremy Brett was the best Sherlock EVER.

11. Since it's modern, he doesn't really try to compete with Brett's Holmes
That does mean it's possible to like a 'standard' Holmes, and to think the new version is completely wrong. But it got some of the best reviews for British-made TV for years - well worth having a look at.

9. Sigh...
My sister lives in England and you do not interrupt her when Sean Bean is on the telly. And my daughter adores Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice. He was pretty good in Love Actually too.
