21. We will indeed. And if you weren't there, we would have to invent you.
When they throw the dirt over me, I shall always remember our games with U-M. And my dear deluded friends who continue to root for them.

Go Green, and two undefeated teams is what it's all about. I can't believe College GameDay on ESPN is passing this one up. Idiocy.

Anyway, all the best, except for Saturday. You have to love this.

18. I like coyotes too, even though they eat a lot of pets around here.
They run through the village on occasion at night and I often hear howling packs in the mornings and evenings in the mountains.

Beautiful survivors.

23. They earned my respect and awe when I worked at a ski resort
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 09:33 PM by KurtNYC
native north americans believed that coyotes were the returned spirits of fallen warriors and they certianly behave in an intelligent and other worldly manner.

We had one who would sit on a 10,500-foot peak and stare stoicly into the distance, at peaks 90 miles away. We called him (or her) Yoda. Awesome beautiful creatures.

35. We have lots of them around here.
I love to hear them at night and the early morning, too. We have lots of hay and cow pasture surrounding us, and we keep all but about 2 acres of our total 8 wild, so they get really close sometimes. :D

37. They are very brazen...I can hear them sometimes in the dirt alleys in the village.
Once, a few years ago around dusk in a wooded arroyo, a pack of 15-20 suddenly went rushing by. I was up on a ridge about 100 feet away, I was in awe.

38. I've only seen an occasional single
usually in the morning on the way to work. But in the dark, you can tell it's a fairly large pack. I love the all the yipping sounds they make as they run through. Sometimes it can be a little scary when it's very, very dark and they are very near.

They are beautiful animals. But there's a guy a few sections from here that kills them and then hangs the carcasses on the fence posts of his property. Really pisses me off.
