Bad music for breakfast? Good music for breakfast?
Just sitting here having some breakie with the GF when "Let your backbone slide" by Maestro Fresh Wes came on. This is not a throwdown, it's breakfast, and it put my right off my eggs. So, I changed the ipod one forward and some Gordon Lightfoot came on. Now THAT'S breakfast music.

Your examples?

1. I eat steak and eggs for breakfast and listen to Cannibal Corpse during the meal

I actually like silence during my morning meal, which I never get unless I eat in my truck. Truck stops generally play country or oldies over the intercom if they play music at all. I don't like country and the oldies are worn thin. Many of them have TVs in their restaurants and most of them display Fox News 24/7.

2. I like news with breakfast.
And the music of lunch and dinner need to match the food.

3. I used to like news with breakfast
But, working in the industry, I know I'll be getting the daily news as soon as I get to work.

6. A like a quiet breakfast, because I'm usually reading. But I do remember a breakfast many years ago
that called for some Buffalo Tom. We called it "morning-after music."
