Trying to remember a movie name: death, Texas nuns, and I think a year was in the title.
And the year was something like 2100 or 2010.

It was one of those cheap and poorly made dystopian future movies with a lot of badly done violence, fighting, and blood.

I'm pretty sure "death" is in the title, positive that "nun" is, and mostly sure that "Texas" is. A four-digit year absolutely is in the title, and I'm quite sure it's the first word.

Something like: "2010: Texas Death Nuns" but I'm sure there has to be a adjective in there somewhere, too - a word that would imply it's a violence-prone future dystopia.

I've been searching google and amazon for 20 minutes trying to find something, but can't come up with anything.

My visual memory of the film is that it's sort of Road Warrior-ish: lots of broken and cobbled-together equipment like motorcycles and cars and other machines, a kind of desert landscape, and a town that's been pretty much blown to shit.

1. This might help: most of those nunsploitation films are
Italian. Just a coincidence, prolly.

2. Wasn't that a porno with Ron Jeremy in it?
If not, it should have been.

4. Texas Death Nuns will be the name of my band.
If I were to ever have one.

I'll be sure to give you credit in all the liner notes.

8. Here's IMDB's list of movies with "nun" in the title.
http://www.imdb.com/find?s=tt&q=nun

Maybe it's one of those, though I don't see any years mentioned within the titles.

9. Crud - it's not any of those. Maybe "nun" isn't in the title, though they are in the movie.
As I've thought about it, and now witness the absence of nun, it might be that the first scene in the movie was a slaughter and rape of nuns, and not that the nuns were the violent ones.

God, this is driving me crazy -

11. The film in question is "2020 Texas Gladiators"
Edited on Thu Oct-21-10 10:24 PM by Orrex
I saw a version in (presumably dubbed) English back in 1987 or so, but IMDB seems only to have an article in Italian:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083565/

Here's an excerpt in English from the reviews:
The opening scene is the carnage at a "church" (which looks like a deserted warehouse with a cross, a statue, a priest dressed in all red and two nuns). Apparently these savage men (they look prehistoric) are attacking. The priest is being assaulted and nailed to a cross, while the nuns are being raped and ravaged. In the midst of this (after enough watching) our 5 Texas Gladiators appear and kill everyone who isn't a priest or nun. One of the Gladiators, Catch Dog, rapes(I'm not sure if he's successful. It looks like no to me, but the others are sure he has.) a young girl (Maida - Sabrina Siani) he's found. The other Gladiators take offense to this and dishonorably discharge him into the desert. Apparently they have a strict moral code and go around the wastelands enforcing their own brand of justice.
emphasis mine

Not a good film, as I recall.
