ESPN has the details. One of the computer rankings, Colley Matrix, has Oregon at No. 7, behind Oklahoma, Nebraska and Missouri. I think I've localized where the Big 12 bias comes from. Still working on pinpointing the SEC bias in the BCS joke of a ranking system.

I'm an alumnus and want to support my team, but I'm really not pleased at the exclusivity that sports in colleges have. The teams get the money, in this case, Phil Knight has taken over. While money is pumped into our football team, tuition is rising to an unaffordable amount, and just a few years ago, incoming freshmen didn't have a dorm to live in. As soon as that became public, U of O fixed the situation pronto, but I feel like the students are being pushed aside because football is where the money is. Every spring, summer, fall, and winter, I get students calling to get money out of me. I'm angry at Knight taking over my college and making it his.

If Knight wants to give his money in that fashion, then your quarrel is with him, not the school. IMHO. Tuition doesn't go up because Knight gave football money. Housing isn't inadequate because Knight gave football money. He likely wouldn't have given money to support either tuition or housing.
