I am now a PAID professional medical provider.
I saw my first patient today as a salaried provider. A four-week well-child check; nothing extraordinary. Except now I'm getting paid for it.

Life is good... B-)

8. Excellent! I have a special place in my heart for health care providers
For anyone who works in whatever aspect of that business, actually. From the janitors and cooks in the hospitals to the neurosurgeon and my psychiatrist, and everyone in between. I don't have the brains and the resources to be a medical professional, but after a life changing event in a hospital, I was so impressed by the staff that I found myself wanting to be involved in that field somehow. Even if it was as a hospital janitor.

When I retire I might volunteer my time for a hospital.

21. Congratulations - that is great!
You worked hard for it and deserve it.

and off topic - I feel bad I never got back to learning about Shakespere, but want you to know I didn't just forget or blow it off - I got insanely busy last month and have not had much time for any on-line fun. Sorry about that.

26. Don't worry about it. And don't think of learning Shakespeare as a chore.
Shakespeare is supposed to be fun! It was intended as entertainment, don't forget.

A quick way to dive into Shakespeare is to see some good movies based on the plays.

A few to start with are:

Henry V. Kenneth Branagh's production from 1989. I saw it with a bunch of Army soldiers, and we were surprised by how well we understood what was going on. A really good trained Shakespearean actor can make the lines sound like natural speech, and watching a performance is always better than trying to read the written words on the page.

Much Ado About Nothing. Kenneth Branagh again. And Emma Thompson, his wife at the time of filming. She's beautiful, sexy, smart, and funny, and so is the whole movie (if you overlook Keanu Reeves' awful, awful performance as Don John.)

A Midsummer Night's Dream from 1999. Michelle Pfeiffer couldn't act Shakespeare if her life depended on it. But the rest of the cast is solid. The play-within-a-play at the end is wonderful, and features Sam Rockwell in a surprisingly moving performance.

Just send me a PM, though. I don't want to put it out there in a forum.
