Just watched the latest episode on AMC and wow. Between this show and Breaking Bad, AMC is taking over HBO's slot for innovative and good programming.

1. Agreed.

And there's only three more episodes left of the season??? :wtf: Damn that sucks! But season two will have 13 episodes.

I really hope season two of The Walking Dead doesn't interfere with season four of True Blood. They share the same timeslot. x(

2. I just heard that as well.
Sigh. But at least it's coming back. If it does interfere you can always watch it online at the AMC website a couple of days after airing.

32. Less Is Better
Give me a few high quality episodes over trying to stretch the story line out over a high number of episodes. Imagine how great X-Files would have been with only a few shows every year instead of 26.

3. Remember to enter the contest at the end of the episode.
I did, it would so cool to win it.

6. I'm really glad that Shane beat the shit out of Ed.
I'm just pissed the ladies didn't do it themselves.

But it would have been sweet if the ladies did it themselves.

9. I hate how the battered wife was all "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" after he was pulped, though.
:puke:

It will make for problems later on. One of them will kill the other. "Oh, zombie!" *blam*.

18. That's what happens in real life.
It's part of the problem.

Abusers make the abused dependent on them and make them think it's their fault.

35. I think this was to show that Shane has a dark side that might get darker
as the show evolves. On the other hand, I think the guy who cut his hand off, might change in a positive manner. One hopes.

10. It's a series taken from a graphic novel
where in a 28 Days sort of way the protagonist awakes to a world with, wait for it, ZOMBIES!

As silly as the premise is they have done it very well and is more character driven than zombie driven.

21. I picked up a graphic novel in the local Borders last week
and the storyline from the graphic novel that I looked through in the store was pretty much the same as the TV show pilot. Was the graphic novel an updated adaptation of the TV show, or did the pilot really parallel the original graphic novel that closely?

I didn't think of that until I had left Borders.

23. The latter
I'm pretty sure the graphic novels have been out for a few years (it was published as a serial, like your usual comic book).

11. Imagine 28 Days Later or any other cool zombie flick...
...made for TV while still being almost cinematic in its presentation.

It is an absolutely awesome series, and may appeal to you even if you don't usually care for zombie-based entertainment.

but then it moves on to something like the remake of Dawn of the Dead.

Awesome. :)

Edited on Mon Nov-15-10 10:22 AM by charlie and algernon
so at least we're getting double. I imagine that AMC is approaching this cautiously since Zombie movies tend to either do great or bomb in the theaters. They're probably waiting to see what kind of following they have before investing in the usual 16-20 episode season.

25. Game Of Thrones? WHAT?!?!?!
I just bought the book!

I'm 50 pages in. Should I stop now and wait for the TV show? Or should I get it read and be one of those "Oh well you know the book is waaaay better than the movie" lames?

Decisions, decisions...

My wife and I saw the first episode on Fancast, and it was excellent. Since then, no more episodes have been posted! WTF, was that just a teaser that AMC did to taunt us?
