I'm home with my son today. What an abundant weekend we've had, if you're measuring body temperature and volumes of puke. The doctor says it's a virus. He should be better soon.

Anyway, between mommy duties, I am entertaining myself on DU. I haven't posted an ask me anything thread in a long time. Hope you're up to playing along.

2. Hey LynneSin!
I'm ok. My job is crazy. My husband is crazy. We don't make enough money. Our health insurance sucks. But for the most part, we're happy. We've lived on the Island for a couple years now. Our house is cute. It's small, but it's all we need and we have lots of fruit trees and grapes.

You should see how big Garrison is. He's obsessed with the army and World War II. It drives me nuts.

How are you?

3. fun, I don't miss those days. Hang in there!
It's better when they can run into the bathroom themselves and lie on the couch groaning, or sleep!

4. He has his very own puke bucket.
He wrote on it with a sharpee - "fro up box."

5. I remember days like that.
And days, and days, and days.

My kids are away in college now. You know it keeps getting more and more complicated as they become teens, and sometimes you're thinking, "Now barf, that would be easy!" especially when they are old enough to drive and mess up cars or teenage relationships.

My youngest just called home. First college flu, all taken care of by the student health center.

:( but also :) at the same time.

6. My coworkers are probably pissed.
I've had a lot of sick days myself.

Anyway, I'm slightly terrified of the teenage years. When I think back to my own teenage years, I'm amazed I lived.

7. I was doing that too!
Remember, it is easier to clean a sweatshirt than a couch. So I let my kid throw up on me. Gramma is watching now. I had to get some work done.

8. Grandma came over for a little bit last night...
...and ended up helping to clean his bed.

Hope your kid gets better soon.
